Join us Saturday, October 9th, as we plant cypress trees, build trails and conduct park maintenance at the Sankofa Wetland Park & Nature Trail (6401 Florida Avenue)! The event will take place at the park from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Some notes for the park restoration event:

Please bring your own mask and keep your mask on at all times throughout the volunteer day.

Wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Rain boots are recommended as it can get muddy.

Please bring your own water bottle.

Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray or any other protection you need from the sun or the elements. The event will continue in the case of light rain.

We will provide tools to use but please bring your own gloves if you have them. We have a limited supply of clean gloves for volunteers to use.

We will practice social distancing in accordance with current Covid-19 guidelines. Please maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others.
