You do NOT want to miss all the exciting things your State LMNA 2021 Rendezvous committee has planned for you this April! Four Zoom sessions!
On Saturday, April 3rd, award-winning science educator, Sue Ellen Lyons (Greater New Orleans Master Naturalist) will challenge your action in citizen science. The much-anticipated list of scavenger hunt organisms will be released. And of course -- you will hear from our LMNA President, Bob Thomas - Loyola University Environmental Communications and herpetologist extraordinaire! Bette Kauffman (Northeast Chapter) will provide optional instruction on using iNaturalist following the program.
Thursday, April 8th, and Tuesday, April 20th will present opportunities for you to visit with other naturalists from around the state in small groups and test your id and trivia skills in a fun game format.
On wrap-up Sunday, April 25th we will hear from this year's Caroline Dormon award winner. Past winners are Dr. Charles Allen, Vernon Brou, and Kelby Ouchley.
For the 3 weeks between the opener and wrap-up, follow the action on the Rendezvous 2021 Facebook page and website. Vote for your favorite naturalist photos/videos, follow the iNaturalist scavenger hunt competition, and be inspired by the citizen science activities of your fellow naturalists from throughout Louisiana.
Shutterbugs -- check out the photo and video contest rules on the LMNA website to share your favorite Louisiana photos and videos from this past year.
Rendezvous is the only source of income for your State LMNA organization. A $20 donation will register you for ALL Rendezvous 2021 activities.
See attached flyer for further details and registration information.
