Volunteer with Friends of City Park on Monday, January 18

1 Palm Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day of Service inspires us to come together each year to serve our community. Friends of City Park and other community organizations honor Dr. King’s legacy through service projects while addressing pressing community needs, like New Orleans City Park.

Congress designated the holiday as a national day of service in 1994, taking place each third Monday in January, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service — a "day on, not a day off."

Join us for a park-wide cleanup

8:00 am – 10:00 am

The responsibility of sustaining our Park's health belongs to each one of us.

Volunteers will have the chance to meet and participate alongside their Clean-up Krewe collecting debris from some of the Park's most trafficked areas.

*All supplies will be available upon check-in.

*Masks and social distancing required.

*Ages 16 and 17 are able to participate if they are accompanied by an adult
