Table for our amazing organization at Wild Things!

More information about Wild Things:

This FREE event is coordinated with National Wildlife Refuge Week, a national initiative to connect people to nature and promote outdoor stewardship. We are encouraging everyone to “Find Your Way to National Wildlife Refuges, celebrating the rivers and trails of the refuge system.”

Wild Things helps people of all ages to connect with the wild things and places that make Louisiana special. The 22nd Annual Wild Things Celebration will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayou Lacombe Center, the headquarters for the eight National Wildlife Refuges in Southeast Louisiana.

Enjoy family-friendly outdoor activities including children’s activities, live animals, live music, hayrides, face-painting, bayou boat & canoe tours and much more! Visitors will also get to learn more about Louisiana wildlife and wildlands.

Food will be available for purchase from the Friends of the Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges LLC., a non-profit organization that supports conservation and education projects throughout the Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges Complex. A Wild Things Youth Art Exhibition will also showcase wildlife and nature related art from young artists from throughout the region.

Wild Things is made possible by The Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges LLC., and community support of many volunteers. For more information or to volunteer at Wild Things call (985) 882-2025.

Admission, parking, tours and music are all free.
