For Training Class trainees only:   Tree ID walk at Fort Ward in Alexandria. Bring your "Common Native Trees" book (with the "key" at the beginning).  Binoculars (optional) and your loupe (hand lens) may be helpful for getting a closer look at details.  We will enjoy a walk with fellow Tree Steward Joanne Hutton to practice Tree ID skills.  Will be mostly on paved paths or grassy areas, but wear long pants and sturdy shoes in case we step off trail at times.  Park at the amphitheater parking lot and look for the "Tree Steward Event" signs.   The amphitheater is about 3/4ths of the way around the circular road around the park.  If you can't find us, call Noreen at 703-624-8342.
