Dominion HIlls (Arlington) Invasive Pull
Friday, August 21 2026
It's time for our August work dates at our site in Dominion Hills in Arlington. We
need to look for stiltgrass, and we can always clear invasive vines
away from tree cages, water some young trees if we don't get rain this
week, and clear the jungle at the other end of the path. Hopefully
it won't be AS hot this weekend as it was before, but regardless, wear
long pants, long sleeves, socks, and sturdy shoes to protect yourselves
from poison ivy (we try to avoid it but can't guarantee), thorny brush,
and ticks. A hat is recommended, too. Bring
water and your own gloves and hand tools if you have them. If not, we
will have gloves and tools to share. We will also have poison ivy
wipes, soap, and insect repellent. And most important, homemade goodies to snack on. Meet at 1000 Patrick Henry Dr., Arlington. Look for the "Volunteers" sign. Plenty of parking along the street.Thank you!
