Propagation, planting and care of native trees and shrubs

Please come to the Arlington County Native Plant Nursery to hear Sue Kim, who is the DPR person in charge of the nursery, talk about the propagation, planting and care of native trees and shrubs This will be an open-ended session that you can bring your questions to for Sue to address. The event will start in the native plant nursery, and can also extend to plantings of various age within close walking distance depending on group interest/time. Topics that can be covered include but are not limited to: methods of propagation (seeds, cuttings, salvage), species selection/identification, habitat types, deer fencing, tree placement and tree maintenance. Please wear close-toed shoes and dress for potentially walking a short distance off trail through the woods.
The Native Plant Nursery is located behind the baseball field at Barcroft Park - 4200 S Four Mile Run Drive.
